Healthy Minds For Lincoln County Coalition July 19 Meeting Notes
The Healthy Minds for Lincoln County Coalition met on Friday July 19.
Public Health Educator Kristin Bath provided updates regarding Lincoln County suicide data from 2017 through 2023. There were 40 deaths resulting from suicide through the period, 83% of those were males. Bath shared that the department recently completed a 988-suicide prevention and lifeline campaign in June targeting middle aged/older men. The Health Department is continuing the campaign and expanding the target group to men ages 30 and over. A resource packet including magnets and other materials will be mailed out to clinics, worksites, churches, first responders, and veterans groups.
The coalition is scheduled to meet again on October 18, 2024.
